Chamber
Membership is similar to a gym membership; your results
are directly proportionate to what you put in. There are
several ways in which you can help the Chamber and your
business simultaneously. Consider doing one of the
following:
-
Place the Chamber’s logo on all
of your marketing materials- as a member of the
Chamber of Commerce; you have strategically aligned
yourself with an organization that has been pursuing
business excellence and economic growth since 1890.
Numerous studies have shown that customer perceptions
can be enhanced as a result of your Chamber
membership. Utilizing the Chamber Logo in your
advertisements can increase credibility by demonstrating
that you are supporting community and economic
development.
-
Volunteer your leadership to
form an actively meeting economic cluster within your
regional industry using the Chamber as your method of
collaboration- Often, organizations are not direct
competitors but rather serve different segments of the
market. Yet, most share many common needs,
opportunities, constraints, and obstacles. An economic
cluster is a system of interconnected firms and
institutions whose whole is more than the sum of its
parts. Whether you have thought about it or not, your
business is part of a very important economic cluster
within Bartholomew County. Lets explore how
collaboration in your market can increase your success.
-
Submit your expertise and event
information to our new online newsletter- The
Chamber eNewsletter will be distributed via email
monthly. Please contact

-
Offer member-to-member
discounts to other members- Participation is open to
all Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce members. The
program will be promoted at various chamber events, the
chamber office, in chamber publications, and our new

-
Become a mentor to a new
member- Mentors serve as friends, advisors,
cheerleaders and confidantes. An entrepreneur’s success
could be tied to relationships that they build early in
their ventures. You can impact the local economy by
showing genuine interest and sharing your time and
knowledge.
